I, Malvolio a HUGE Edinburgh success!

“Is this the kind of thing you like?”

“Had a good review, have you? Think you’re the bee’s knees? “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” Proverbs (as tweeted by @MrMalvolio)

Malvolio braved the theatre debauchery of the Edinburgh Fringe and played to a 97% of capacity audience in his two-week Traverse run. Despite his best efforts, he received some very fine reviews. He’s bracing his cross-garters for his autumn tour, and is juggling his diary for the next two years as the British Council Showcase bookings flood in.

Welcome to the New Website

The idea of News From Nowhere as a company distinct from the theatre of Tim Crouch was always a bit of a strange one. It didn’t ever seem to sit well with what was actually going on, and implied some sort of permanent and distinct entity, when in fact no such thing existed.

So in order to avoid any more confusion, NFN has been put out to grass, and this website has relaunched as Tim Crouch Theatre. The old website will still be there for archive purposes, but this is where all the new stuff will happen, so please change your bookmarks now.

Tim Crouch at the RSC

Tim is directing his edited version of The Taming of the Shrew as the RSC Young People’s Shakespeare production for the 2011 season. It will tour schools as well as running in the Swan Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon at various times between 24 September and 15 October 2011. Book now.

He will also be performing I, Malvolio and I, Peaseblossom in the Swan Room at Stratford from 19-21 October (schools performances) and 21-23 October (public performances

Tim is currently under commission to the RSC for a new young people’s play for the World Shakespeare Festival in 2012.

my arm at Leeds

The performance on Wednesday, 1 December was cancelled because of the crazy weather. Just so you know, though, Tim did battle his way up to Leeds in time, but the snow continued to fall, and Leeds was almost whited out. There will be a replacement performance on Monday April 11 at 7.20pm at the same venue.

A rare chance to catch Tim in a UK performance of my arm.

It’s at Northern Ballet, Quarry Hill, Leeds, LS2 7PA, promoted by Leeds Met.

Book now to avoid deep disappointment.

The Author continues
